Marrakech's Green Escapes

7 hours

Very easy

A relaxing day in Marrakech and the Ourika Valley awaits you! Enjoy the famous Majorelle-Garden and take an excursion to the green and friendly Ourika-Valley!

Your guide picks you up at your hotel and drives you to the magnificent Majorelle Garden. The botanical garden with the blue villa is a quiet oasis and the former home of the famous french designer Yves Saint Laurent. Nowadays, it hosts also the Berber-Museum.

After a tea break in the garden cafe, you will continue your route in direction Ourika Valley. This green valley at the feet of the Atlas mountains is a popular attraction for locals and tourists as well.

At this beautiful spot, the Swiss lady Christine Ferrari built her own little paradise: a 20,000 m² saffron field (harvesting time in November), a Botanical Garden with a barefeet-trail and a shady terrace to relax. Enjoy a guided tour with a lot of information about saffron and the gardens. Afterwards you can taste a 4 courses-gourmet lunch at the terrace with fresh herbs from the garden and just relax.

In the afternoon, we will be driving you back to your hotel. On the way back, you can enjoy some impressing landscapes and you will have the opportunity to visit a local cooperative of argan oil and pottery (if desired).
